Leeds United fans react on Twitter to Liam Cooper’s Aston Villa performance

Jonathan Kodjia‘s late penalty rescued a point for Aston Villa and took two away from Leeds United after an entertaining second half of the two sides’Championship encounter at Villa Park on Thursday.

Pontus Jansson’s header put Leeds 1-0 up shortly after half-time before the Swede struck the crossbar with a sweet half-volley moments later.

Villa rallied, though, and were quite literally handed a lifeline when the ball was adjudged to have touched Liam Cooper‘s arm inside the box, and Kodjia made him pay.

Cooper was a surprise inclusion for Leeds – who were without Kyle Bartley to injury – making only his second Championship start since August. And, according to many Whites fans on Twitter, there is a good reason for that.
