Olivier Giroud is reportedly set to have showdown talks with Arsene Wenger over his Arsenal future.
The France striker has only started one match for the Gunners in the opening three months of the season, with injuries coupled with Alexis Sanchez’s promising performances as Arsenal’s loan striker limiting his first-team chances.
The Daily Star claim Giroud, 30, wants assurances about his long-term place within the team.
Giroud had scored three goals in two games going into Sunday’s North London derby draw with Spurs but again had to settle for a place on the bench.
“I had hoped to play against Spurs because I’d had two good games,” Giroud said. “I was a little bit disappointed, but I’m not the sort of person to just give up.”
