Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has returned to Chile training after suffering a calf injury earlier in the week.
The in-form striker limped out of a session on Tuesday with the problem and did not feature in the World Cup qualifier against Colombia.
But he was back in action on Sunday, although he did wear a large bandage on his right thigh.
Chile are hopeful Sanchez will be fit for their qualifier against Uruguay on Tuesday evening.
Arsene Wenger has expressed his hope that Sanchez would be left out of the clash, but with Chile outside the automatic qualification spots, he could feature.
“It’s a grey area between the national team and the club team and of course they look at their own results, which I can understand, but we have to preserve the health of Alexis Sanchez,” the Frenchman told BeIN Sports .
“He always wants to play and that’s where it is a more sensitive case because he’s always ready to play even when injured.”
Sanchez has been deployed as a central striker by Arsenal this season, scoring six times in 11 Premier League fixtures
